As a church family we are ready, willing and able to reach out to those in our congregation who are in need of support. Please call the church office (715-479-8501) if you are aware of someone in our family of faith who might need us to pray, care and share.

Ayla Shepherdson

February 2015

Beloved, as many of you are aware, Ayla has been diagnosed with ALL - acute lymphoblastic leukemia.  Her parents want us to know that this type of leukemia is a very treatable childhood cancer and about 2, 500 children are diagnosed in the US each year.  However, it is a very long haul with treatment...two to three years with a whole range of peaks and valleys.

To keep up to date with Ayla's condition and progress, you may go to:  www.CaringBridge.com

So many of you have asked how you can help.  Here's how:

PRAYER: Scripture is replete with passages extolling us to pray.  One favored passage is Philippians 4:6-7  "do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."  Pray for Ayla's recovery and for her family - Mark, Trisha and Iland. Pray for the incredible staff treating her.  Pray for those who are fighting illness without the loving support of others.

CARE:  A schedule has been set up to provide meals for Ayla and her family.   If you are interested in providing a meal for them, please visit this page:  TakeThemAMeal.com

SHARE:  Another way to help might be donating money to the church designated Fill Their Tank.  Their frequent trips back and forth to Marshfield will use a lot of gasoline so we are setting up a fund to allay some of those costs.

Another webpage has been set up for information and to contribute donations to the family at: TeamAyla.com
